DESCRIPTION:Institute of Advanced Motorists Skills Day\nIAM Having Fun \nThe freedom of riding your bike is one life’s great pleasures and is something to be encouraged. But regardless of whether you’re new to the bike\, returning after a break or have many years experience\, the IAMs advanced riding courses can make you a better rider and bring even greater enjoyment to your ride. \nWhat are Skills days? They are an additional place to learn skills that you can put into practice whilst riding your motorcycle on the road. \nWhy use circuits? They offer a controlled environment without the hazards faced on our roads\, which enables the participant to concentrate on the skills being taught. \nWhat bike do I ride? You ride your own motorcycle as the content of the day enables you to improve your personal standards and to become aware of the handling of your motorcycle. \nWho is it for? The days are for all who want to improve their personal skills whilst also having some fun. \nWe will concentrate on what you should be looking at: \n\nVanishing points\, entry\, apex and exit points\, how they vary from road to circuit\, why and how we use them\, where we should position for view\, progress and safety together with braking.\nWhere to brake\, when and how much to brake\, how it feels in an emergency and finishing on throttle application to set the balance of the bike for controlled smooth cornering.\nGear selection\, how to decide which is the most appropriate gear for the circumstances and control.\nHow to use the throttle to add stability to the bike when entering corners\, blipping or constant accelerator techniques when changing down gears.\n\nThe day is NOT intended for riders whose primary aim is outright speed.

DESCRIPTION:James Whitham motorcycle track training days at Mallory Park Circuit are rider focused with the emphasis on practical coaching\, both on and off the track on the aspects of riding that you want to improve\, alongside one-to-one tuition from James and his team of riders that are at the top of their game. \nWith small groups\, you can expect high quality\, coached days that covers everything you need to know to give you the confidence to do your first track day\, or to improve and develop your riding and/or racing technique\, in a fun and relatively safe environment.
