They are an additional place to learn skills that you can put into practice whilst riding your motorcycle on the road. \nWhy use circuits? They offer a controlled environment without the hazards faced on our roads\, which enables the participant to concentrate on the skills being taught. \nWhat bike do I ride? You ride your own motorcycle as the content of the day enables you to improve your personal standards and to become aware of the handling of your motorcycle. \nWho is it for? The days are for all who want to improve their personal skills whilst also having some fun. \nWe will concentrate on what you should be looking at: \n\nVanishing points\, entry\, apex and exit points\, how they vary from road to circuit\, why and how we use them\, where we should position for view\, progress and safety together with braking.\nWhere to brake\, when and how much to brake\, how it feels in an emergency and finishing on throttle application to set the balance of the bike for controlled smooth cornering.\nGear selection\, how to decide which is the most appropriate gear for the circumstances and control.\nHow to use the throttle to add stability to the bike when entering corners\, blipping or constant accelerator techniques when changing down gears.\n\nThe day is NOT intended for riders whose primary aim is outright speed. \nFor more information\, visit iam.org.uk

DESCRIPTION:General Testing\nfor MSA and ACU licence holders\nThe circuit is open for cars in the morning 09:00 – 12:30 and motorcycles in the afternoon 13:30 – 17:00. A noise limit of 105dB(A) is in place and will be strictly enforced. Valid for MSA and ACU licence holders only. \nMSA Licence Holders\nTimes: 09:00 – 12:30\nDriver Cost: £125\nAdditional Driver: £25\nNoise Limit: 105dB(A) \nACU Licence Holders*\nTimes: 13:30 – 17:00\nRider Cost: £75\nNoise Limit: 105dB(A)\nSidecar sessions will take place at the event. Please reserve your space if you wish to take part. \nBookings can be made by contacting the circuit office on 01455 502214.  Full payment must be made at time of booking. \nSpectators are welcome to all of our general test days. DESCRIPTION:Pre Driver Day\nLeicestershire County Council Road Safety Education Team offers year 11/12 students\, who are aged 16/17 and have not yet started to drive\, the opportunity to take part in a Pre-Driver Day aimed at young people who are interested in learning to drive. \n \nThe course offers a variety of workshops highlighting key issues faced by young and inexperienced drivers. The course will include an introduction to driving\, issues relating to speed\, impairment and also a practical off road driving session using the Mallory Park Race Circuit and Paddock area accompanied by a qualified driving instructor in a dual controlled car. \nThe course costs £35 for residents of Leicestershire County\, although the course is also open to Leicester city and Rutland residents (please get in touch with Leicestershire County Council Road Safety Education Team to check availability and costs if this applies and you are interested in attending). \nIf you are interested in taking the course\, please visit the T Junction website here.
