‘BIG RIDE’

Whether you ride a Vespa or a Harley, join the likes of MotoGP™ legend Randy Mamola in a day of madcap fun venturing through the English countryside taking part in challenges set by the likes of instagram biker Harvey Rides Bikes, TT rider Peter Hickman, and motorcycle brand The Bike Shed Moto Co.  ending at Leicestershire’s Mallory Park for laps of the track (for those who buy track access tickets) and entry to Classic Bike Trackdays’ Festival of Motorcycling.

This is a ride-out with a destination, but no beginning. You decide where to start, and how to get to the finishing point, with plenty of fun along the way! Have a lot of fun and raise funds for the only charity that shows that motorcycles save lives, getting vital life-saving healthcare to some of the hardest to reach people across Africa.

All car park entrances will be sign-posted, please follow the signs to help reduce congestion in the village.

If you have booked VIP Parking or In Car Viewing please use the ‘Competitors Entrance’ which is off Bosworth Road – post code LE9 7QJ.

For standard parking please use the entrance off Barwell Lane – post code LE9 7QA.

Hard standing parking in the circuit paddock with a short walk to the fair and bonfire. Please follow signs for VIP & Disabled Parking.

Parking With In-Car Viewing

Parking on shale in a raised location overlooking the event space. Short walk to the fair and bonfire. Parking area provides excellent in-car vantage point of the firework display.

Please use Church Road. There will be no vehicle access from Church Road beyond the shop.

General Event Information

• Please follow marshal instructions when parking and moving around the venue.
• No pets are allowed on site.
• No sparklers or personal fireworks are permitted for safety reasons.  Bag Searches will be in operation for your safety at the entrances.
• Please dress warmly – the event is outdoors, and the ground may be soft underfoot.
• Food, drink, toilets, and funfair attractions will be available on site.
• Cash and card payments will be accepted, though we recommend bringing some cash in case of network issues.
• Please note: Alcohol purchased outside the venue cannot be brought in.

Weather Contingency

The event will go ahead in all weather conditions unless deemed unsafe to proceed. Please come prepared for the elements — warm clothing and waterproofs are recommended. In the unlikely event of a weather-related cancellation or delay, updates will be shared via our official social media channels and website.

If you become separated from family or friends, please use the ambulance near the funfair – marked #12 on the event map – as your rendez vous point

This exciting new type of event to showcase the BMF – our aims, goals, partners and the work we do for the riding community.

We are planning a full and varied day of displays, talks, demos, workshops, have-a-go sessions, manufacturers test rides, lots of traders, information stands and charities.

We are focusing on a family friendly, informative, fun event with lots to see and do. Whether you’re a rider or a want to be rider there will be lots for you to enjoy on the day.

There will be entertainment throughout the afternoon and live music in evening on Saturday.

A range of refreshments will be available throughout the event.

On this inaugural event we will focus on a day of talks, Q&A sessions, film shows demonstrations centred around the Saturday, on Sunday a day to focus on the traders, demos and sessions and the event will draw to a close 4pm on Sunday.

ShedFest is BACK! Giving the UK’s greatest, quirkiest and rustiest sheds the respect they deserve!

Following on from last May’s sellout show at the British Motor Museum, famed YouTuber Auto Alex and his team will showcase their star cars (so long as they don’t break down en route!), and are looking forward to meeting and chatting to every like-minded shed lover.

From High-Mileage Heroes to diesel-swapped Supras, ShedFest 2.0 will celebrate automotive oddities among a star-studded line-up of your favourite YouTubers.

Auto Alex “Shedfest is an exciting event that I am thrilled to have initiated. It’s not just any car show; it’s all about celebrating my love for the motoring world. The British Motor Museum, a place that resonates with the spirit of automotive history and innovation, was the chosen venue for this fantastic gathering.

The idea behind Shedfest was to create an annual festival that unites car enthusiasts and aficionados of all things automotive. It’s a nod to the unique and often underappreciated world of cars, especially those referred to affectionately as “sheds” – cars that might not be the newest or shiniest, but are loved and cherished for their character and stories.
